Description

99 percent of the 54km² nature reserve was burnt out during the Bendora Bushfire on 18 January 2003, destroying almost all the wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, lyrebirds, and emus. In times of drought, bushfires are an increasing threat to communities and country.
