The Iceman cometh

Sydney will host the only exhibition in Australia of the world’s oldest cold case mummy.Iceman – the story of Ötzi, which is assembled by the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology at Bolzania, Northern Italy, can be seen at the Australian National Maritime Museum when it opens next month. Read more

A new technique has been used in a study on Australia’s sexuality and health. The Australian Longitudinal Study of Health and Relationships, conducted by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University, is the first of its kind by using a different surveying approach. Australia’s first colonisers may have originally come from South Africa -- helped by a seafood diet, according to a team of scientists who found evidence of early civilization in a sea cave. Read more
