Government Policies
The Australian Government Department of the Environment and Heritage promotes the conservation, repair and wise use of wetlands across Australia. It does this in collaboration with all levels of government, industry and community members. It is also responsible for implementing the Convention on Wetlands, policy, legislation and programs.(Australian Government Department of the Environment and Heritage website)
